Mission Statement
The mission of the Fr. Allen Scholarship Committee is to support, promote and encourage the educational pursuits and goals of an individual interested in attending St. Bede Academy, Peru, IL.
OVERVIEW:
The Fr. Allen Scholarship Committee's responsibility is to administer and award scholarships to applicants who meet the eligibility requirements for enrollment at St. Bede Academy. The scholarship committee has the responsibility to set up the criteria for choosing the scholarship winner, determining who is eligible to apply, collecting all applications, reviewing the candidates and choosing the winner of the annual scholarship award.
ELIGIBILITY:
In order to apply for this scholarship, candidates must exhibit the following characteristics that would make them ideal students to attend St. Bede Academy.

Qualifies academically to attend SBA.

Exemplifies good citizenship.

Participates in extracurricular activities. Not limited to athletic activities.

Demonstrates leadership characteristics and potential.
Financial need is not a criteria for receiving the scholarship award but may be they considered.
APPLICATION:
Candidates must be nominated by the principals of their respective school and submit an essay of 250 words on why SBA is “Where they belong” and what they can offer SBA
